Sony Handycam TG5V – first Handycam with GPS

Sony Handycam TG5V latest model (with known or TG7 in Europe) is the successor of Sony Handycam TG1. The weight of the device of video is relatively light, which reaches only 230 grams with the physical size of 30mm x 117mm x 62mm. Handycam as this makes it a smaller and lighter than the earlier series.

Video camera offers internal memory of 16 GB or around 6 hours for the duration of the video recording. The lens is a 30mm wide angle, with Exemer and BIONZ image processor to support the latest recording with minimal lighting.

The most interesting feature of this handycam is the GPS module in it. Not surprisingly, there is a GPS antenna and the NAVTEQ map which can be used to perform geo-tag photos or video automatically when taking a picture. Sony Handycam TG5V will start marketed in Japan later on 20 April, and will follow for other countries.
